Every AIRWAAV® Performance Mouthpiece and AIRWAAV Recovery Mouthpiece is backed by a satisfaction guarantee. If you’re not satisfied with your mouthpiece, we will replace it free of charge or issue a refund for up to 30 days from the date of delivery. Each customer is eligible for no more than one (1) replacement of the mouthpiece.

Please note that shipping costs, accessories, cleaners, apparel, and other non-mouthpiece products are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged.

How to Use Airwaav

1. Begin by placing the AIRWAAV mouthpiece onto your lower teeth. Ensure it sits comfortably and aligns correctly with your dental structure. Next, gently bite down on the mouthpiece. This clenching action is crucial as it positions your jaw in an optimal manner, enhancing the neuromuscular response necessary for the mouthpiece’s effectiveness

2. While maintaining the clench, position your tongue down and forward, resting it underneath the intake bar. The tongue’s placement, combined with its contact with the material inside your molars, prompts the tongue to flex. This flexing action plays a pivotal role in opening your airway more effectively, thereby improving oxygen (O2) and carbon dioxide (CO2) exchange during intense physical activity.

Dr. Dena Garner is a full-time professor in the Department of Health and Human Performance, is the Director of Undergraduate Research and is the Assistant Provost for Research and Policy at The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina. She started working at The Citadel in 2004 while completing her post-doctoral fellowship in the Department of Neurology at the Medical University of South Carolina, also located in Charleston. Before her move to Charleston, she worked at Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon where she also received her doctoral degree in exercise physiology.

She received her Master’s degree from the University of South Carolina in exercise physiology and an undergraduate degree from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina.
